some excellent microbrews you should try

So this past Friday I went to a nice beer shop where you can buy microbrews by the bottle, and I picked up 3 beers.

Flying Dog Tire Bite Golden Ale
I've heard a lot of great things about Flying Dog, especially their darker beers, but since it was a nice hot summer day, I decided to go with a smooth golden ale. This beer was fantastic. It went down smooth like a lighter beer, but still had the ale "bite" to it. Plenty of flavor as well.

Turbodog Dark Brown Ale
I had this the other day at a bar, and I absolutely loved it. For fans of Newcastle or Brooklyn Brown Ale. A very dark ale with flavors of coffee and chocolate, and an initial bite. Not too high in alcohol content, so it's a great beer to either relax with or enjoy in a short time period.

Dogfish Head Midas Touch

I really love Dogfish Head beers. I've loved every beer of theirs that I have had (which isnt that much, but still). This beer is modeled after an ancient Turkish recipe. Tastes like grapes, a very pleasant surprise. Definitely recommend this one.

  2. Oh yum! Thank you! I could so use a beer right this moment. Pretty sure my boss would disapprove.
